Client purchased the cabin in July, 2010. She opened it for
guests in December, 2010. Built in 1980. Close to Bear Mountain
Slopes, The Zoo, golf, hiking and biking. Provides mini views of
both slopes from the comfortable upstairs balcony.
Born in Cape Girardeau,
Missouri 1955, and she was transplanted to Houston, Texas in
1980.
Her son moved to
Newport Beach in December, 2008 so she began vacationing in
Southern California on a regular basis.
The idea of purchasing a Forest Service cabin had been a dream
ever since spending time in the Mt. Hood region of Oregon, where
she was first introduced to the idea. Discovering that Big Bear
had several properties in the Forest Service program led her to
the obvious conclusion ... this would be the perfect place to
escape the hot Houston summers AND be within a two hour drive of
her son.
After several house hunting trips, it became clear that
purchasing a private cabin made much more sense. After
(thankfully) being unable to come to terms on a property on
Menlo, she knew that her second choice, the Conifer cabin, must
have been meant for her. She promptly purchased it.
She considers that some day she could be spending most of her
time at the cabin.. In the meantime, she comes for visits with
family and friends as often as possible,
